Welcome from the Headteacher
It is with a great sense of privilege that I welcome you to apply for a post at Our Lady’s Convent High School. We are driven by the desire to understand how students learn, to provide CPD focused on Professional Learning, and to work together to put the very best practise into place in the classrooms of this school.
Our Lady’s Convent High School has delivered high quality education for many years and has the potential to be a truly outstanding school. It is a wonderful place to work if you are a dedicated and passionate individual, who enjoys their work and wants to make a difference.
If you take the time to visit us, which I hope you will do, you will discover for yourself that we are a vibrant, diverse, exciting, inner city school. Our students want to do well, to be taught by enthusiastic teachers and to be part of a caring community.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys the challenges of change and gains satisfaction from leading strategic planning and implementation. The Business Manager at Our Lady’s Convent High School is a pivotal role; bridging between the teaching and business aspects of this amazing school in north Hackney.
Finance and managing change are now, more than ever, core to the leadership of a school.
Alongside the Headteacher and the Strategic Leadership Team, the business manager provides expertise, knowledge and understanding that guides the school through the ever changing landscape of school funding, cost effectiveness and change implementation.
I am passionate about making this school the very best it can be and this is, without doubt, a team effort.
I have had an incredibly successful working relationship with our current Business Manager, who is now retiring. So whilst there are ‘big shoes to fill’, there is also a developed role ready and waiting for someone with drive and tenacity to come and take on.
This is a role that demands a broad and highly developed skill set and asks you to apply this to make our school even better - we change people’s lives and your work will be integral to our success in doing this.
